We have been running our family business for almost 70 years, and Swingate Equestrian
is more than our business, it is our life. The team is made up of active BHS registered equestrians
who regularly compete in a wide variety of equestrian activities. We offer exceptional care for your
treasured horse or pony and are always happy to offer professional help, support or advice.
We offer superb safe off road hacking for all levels of rider competency in the lovely countryside of Nottinghamshire with some amazing views over the Ilkeston Valley. Adding in quiet roads and pegasus crossings you can safely hack to Shipley Park and beyond.
Not only can we offer a supremely secure and safe environment for you and your horse with lush grazing,
a range of stabling, two outdoor menages (with jumps that are free to use), a round schooling pen and grass field with log jumps,
we also have a wide range of services avaliable to you and your horse.
Our current liveries cover a broad spectrum of horse owners, from children with ponies having fun and learning the ropes, happy hackers, to experienced owners who train and compete in more advanced equine activities such as horseball, show jumping, endurance riding, dressage and eventing. With so many local shows and venues running competitions closeby, you will not have to go too far to compete, but we are close to junction 26 of the M1 if your activities lead you to go further afield. We also run our own family fun days, competition days, hunting and hound exercises, charity rides and seasonal activities.
